Located at the confluence of the Sava and Danube Rivers, Belgrade is a capital city rich in history and rapidly moving toward a renewed future. Fittingly known as the “Gateway to the Balkans” and the “Door to Central Europe”, Belgrade is the epicenter of Serbian culture, education, and science, and has the highest concentration of nationally important science and art institutions.

Bachelor Courses in English
Business & Economics. Students taking a full load of courses register for 24-30 ECTS units (12-15 credit hours), which may include 3 to 6 different courses. Courses are available within the Business & Management program and the Economics & Finance program (please note that the Year 1 courses are taught in Serbian with the option of individual consultations and exams; all other years are taught in English). Course syllabi can be requested.
Note: Normally, fall semester exams are scheduled in mid/late January, but exchange students can generally arrange with their professors to take exams early or have them proctored at home if they need to depart early.
Master Courses in English
Business. Students taking a full load of courses register for 24-30 ECTS units (12-15 credit hours), which may include 3 to 6 different courses. The university offers international master degrees in Quantitative Finance, Applied Economics, Business Informatics, and Taxation. Course syllabi can be requested.

Language Courses
A Serbian language course can be taken from the Faculty of Philology.
Thesis/Project Work
Bachelor and master students in the areas of business, economics and statistics are able to work on a thesis/final project and/or conduct research during their exchange term. A faculty advisor can be arranged; however, no credits can be awarded.

Orientation
The university offers a “buddy” program to students, and welcome information sessions/meetings are organized by the Faculty. The Welcome Guide also provides useful information about studying at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Economics.
Internships
Unpaid, on-campus internships are sometimes available in web design and with the international office. These internships, supervised by the head of the department, are not credit-bearing.

Exchange students must have appropriate insurance while studying abroad; however, they are not required to purchase a policy through the university.

Housing
Off-campus student dormitories or rented houses. The university offers students assistance in the form of information and contacts; however, students are responsible for confirming their accommodation themselves. Housing is approximately 300-500 EUR per month. Please note dormitory availability is limited so many students live off-campus. The university estimates cost of living to be 500-900 EUR per month for housing, meals, local transportation, insurance, utilities, and some personal expenses.

Located at the confluence of the Sava and Danube Rivers, Belgrade is home to a number of museums and historical sites as well as vibrant nightlife.

A variety of small shops, malls, and outlets are available in Belgrade.
Climate
Belgrade has a humid continental climate with four distinct seasons, including hot summers and cold winters. Monthly averages range from 1C/34F in January to 23C/73F in July.
