Park University is located in Parkville, a suburb of Kansas City, Missouri. Situated at the confluence of the Missouri River and the Kansas River, and home to more than 2 million people, Kansas City offers a variety of events, sports, museums, shopping, restaurants, nightlife, distinct neighborhoods, and more.  It’s also one of the fastest growing cities in the United States for business, technology, and health care.

Bachelor Courses in English

Business, Liberal Arts, Sciences, Education. Students taking a full course load normally register for 12-15 credit hours, which represents 4-5 courses each meeting 3 hours per week. For course information, click here.

Orientation

A two-hour check-in session takes place the Thursday prior to the start of classes.  Orientation is from 8:00am-5:00pm the Friday prior to the start of classes.

Part-time on-campus employment is possible for those who have been awarded work study positions.

Students must possess valid health insurance that complies with U.S. regulations. Insurance can be arranged through Park University, if necessary.

All non-US citizens are required to obtain either an F-1 or J-1 visa to study in the United States.

Housing

Shared dormitory. Visiting international students are housed on-campus in shared rooms or suites. On-campus housing ranges from approximately $2,010 to $2,690 per semester.

 

Meals

Meal plans are required and are approximately $1,925 per semester.

 

Transportation

The nearest airport is in Kansas City, Missouri (MCI), which is a 15-20-minute drive from campus. Students who submit arrival details in advance can usually be met at the airport.

Entertainment

Parkville is a known for its shops, art galleries, and historic downtown.  It is also part of the Kansas City Metropolitan Area, which means it offers access to a wide variety of big-city amenities, such as professional sporting events, concerts, theatre, festivals, shopping, restaurants (including barbecue!), craft breweries, and nightlife.

 

Shopping

A wide variety of shopping is available in the area, from small shops to large shopping centers.  Many stores are open 7 days per week.

 

Climate

Parkville has a temperate climate with four distinct seasons. Summers are hot and humid with high temperatures often over 30ºC. Winters are cold with intermittent periods of snow, ice, and freezing rain, with average low temperatures of -15ºC and high temperatures of 0ºC.
